For Independence 42 celebrations, Friday, September 12^th, 2025, has been designated as National Sneaker Day in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Everyone is encouraged to wear their favourite sneakers and participate in activities that promote walking and healthy living.

It could be walking to work, heading to school, running errands, or just for fun. It is part of efforts to promote national wellness and health.

Coinciding with National Colours Day, participants are also invited to wear something yellow, which represents our year round sunshine.

Other activities for the patriotic period include: the National Service of Gratitude & Gospel Concert on Sunday, September 14^th, National Fruit Day on September 15^th, National Heroes Day on Tuesday September 16^th, the islands’ Ceremonial Parade on Friday September 19^th or Independence Day, a National Youth Rally on Friday September 26^th and many more.
