Young medical doctor dies after been struck by a vehicle in St. Kitts

The Police are investigating a traffic accident that resulted in the death of twenty-nine (29)-year-old Dr. Simoneth Williams of St. Peter’s, St. Kitts. The incident occurred on Friday, December 20th, between 11:30 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., on the island main road in New Road, near the fencing of the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport’s runway.

 

Preliminary investigations indicate that Ms. Williams was struck by a vehicle while walking along the main road. She was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

 

Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.

 

Both the vehicle and its driver have been identified and an investigation into the incident is underway. The scene was processed and items of evidential value were collected.

 

The general public will be kept appropriately abreast of further developments as the investigation progresses.

 

According to a release, the police is extending heartfelt condolences to all who have been negatively impacted by this incident.
