The young people of St. Kitts and Nevis have been invited to enter the 2023 International Essay Contest organized by the Goi Peace Foundation.

The essay competition according to opportunitiesforyouth.org is an “annual essay contest organized in an effort to harness the energy, creativity and initiative of the world’s youth in promoting a culture of peace and sustainable development. It also aims to inspire the society to learn from young minds and to think about how each of us can make a difference in the world.”

The topic is: “Youth Creating a Peaceful Future; what does a Peaceful World Look like to You? How can young people work together, using creative ideas and approaches to realize a peaceful future?”

Essays must be 700 words or less, typed, with your name and the essay title included at the top of the first page. The submission categories are: Children (ages up to 14); Youth (ages 15 – 25). Persons can win up to US$750 in cash prizes per category.
