The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), Nevis Island Branch – Youth Parliament will host a Mock Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly in observance of Commonwealth Day 2026.

The sitting is scheduled for Monday, March 23^rd, at 9:00 a.m., and will take place at the Assembly Chambers at Hamilton House in Charlestown.

The debate will be held under the theme, “Unlocking opportunities together for a prosperous Commonwealth.”

According to the President of the Nevis Island Assembly, the debate will focus on a resolution addressing the acceptance of third-party refugees by CARICOM member states, with consideration given to sovereignty, security, and economic concerns.
