Cabinet Approves Virtual Streaming of Culturama 47

That was Chair of the National COVID-19 task force, Mr. Abdias Samuel. The approval was given by the Federal Cabinet.

Culturama 47 had its activities scaled down and postponed from its annual timeline prior to the pandemic.

According to Executive Director of the Culturama Secretariat, Mr. Antonio Liburd, “the only persons that would be allowed in would be the persons that are directly involved in the production (of Culturama 47) and also the performers.”

The events slated to take place this weekend will be the Soca Tent on August 28th at 8 p.m. and the Senior Calypso Tent on August 29th also at 8 p.m. All of these activities would be staged at the David Freeman Center of Excellence at Market Shop, Gingerland.

Mr. Liburd added that patrons would be able to enjoy most of the events from the comfort of their homes because they would be streamed live on Nevis Culturama Festival Facebook page and YouTube channel.
