Federal Minister of Tourism informs Cabinet of work at RLB airport

In a walkthrough at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw (RLB) International Airport in St. Kitts on October 26th, Federal Minister of Tourism and Ports, the Hon. Lindsay Grant, briefly spoke of the upgrades made thus far at the facility. 

 

There are two (2) phases of the upgrades.

 

Phase 1 includes: a newly constructed Welcome Centre, newly constructed Medical Centre, reconfiguration of the immigration hall etc.

 

These upgrades were made as the Federation’s borders are slated to re-open on October 31st

 

 

These upgrades come following changes made to operating protocols at the RLB Airport.

 

They include the following: no person shall be allowed on the airport’s premises without a mask, if an individual is exempted from wearing a mask, a medical certification must be presented, parking will not be allowed for private vehicles, inter alia. 

 

Minister Grant mentioned that more money is needed for phase 2:
