10 member contingent comprising of law enforcement officers return from peace keeping mission in SVG

The 10 member contingent comprising of officers from Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and Soldiers from the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF), that left the Federation for a peacekeeping mission in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, returned to SKN on Sunday June 20th.

 

They were in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for three weeks assisting the local authorities maintain security and protect property on the main island, where the eruption of the La Soufrière Volcano forced thousands to evacuate.

 

Prime Minister, Dr. Timothy Harris, as well as members of the RSCNPF and the SKNDF, met the group at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport and welcomed them home.
