Sixteen (16) Calypsonians have been selected to move forward to the much-anticipated Carib-sponsored Senior Calypso Monarch Semi-Finals, slated for December 12^th, forming part of activities for Sugar Mas 53. The semi-finalists earned their spots after impressing judges in the elimination round.

The 16 semi-finalists are vying for a chance to claim the coveted Calypso Monarch title.

The semi-finalists are: Big Lice, Issa Kamal, Drewzy, Lady Carens, Queen Kibi, iSour Sop, Lady Diva, Mighty Freddy, Hollywood, Queen Singing Jackie, Invincible, Empress Lyrics, Green Tea, Mighty Kinta, King Honesty and Badman Polo. Alternate: Mighty Godfrey.

Meantime, happening this weekend at Carnival Village, St. Kitts, will be the Carnival Comedy Show this Saturday (Dec. 7^th) at 8pm. Then on Sunday Dec. 8^th, the Miss SKN Queen Pageant Swimsuit Showcase will be held at 7pm.
