2020 BY-ELECTION: NRP’S CANDIDATE “MINDFUL TO PUT IN WORK” TO WIN ST. THOMAS’ SEAT

As the island of Nevis draws closer to the By-Election slated for Thursday, March 5th 2020, candidates for the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) and the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP), have both expressed their confidence in winning the Constituency #5, St. Thomas’ Parish seat.

A By-Election is an election held in a single political constituency to fill a vacancy.

The VONNEWSLINE last week, spoke with CCM’s candidate for St. Thomas’ Parish, Mr. Keith Scarborough, who stated that “a vote for the NRP’s candidate, will put her in parliament, but a vote for him, will put him in Government” to ensure that the necessary work is done in that area.

However, NRP’s Candidate for St. Thomas’ Parish, Mrs. Cleone Stapleton-Simmonds, had this to say.

Mrs. Simmonds told the VONNEWSLINE that she plans to work.
