Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) and elected Member of Parliament for St. Christopher #6, Dr. the Hon. Denzil Douglas, issued an address on Monday June 8^th in the wake of the June 5^th General Elections.

He said the Labour party fought hard.

Out of the 11 seats in the National Assembly, the Labour Party won 2 seats, while the Team Unity alliance made up of three (3) political parties here in St. Kitts and Nevis namely: the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) Party, the People’s Action Movement (PAM) and People’s Labour Party (PLP), won 9 seats.

The Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) was unable to secure a seat.

Dr. Douglas added that in spite of the above mentioned, the Labour Party lives on.
