Junior Minister of Health here on Nevis – the Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams. 

Her appeal was made during a Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly on Tuesday, March 23^rd, 2021 and was pertaining to the COVID-19 Vaccinations. 

The Government of St. Kitts & Nevis is seeking to achieve Herd Immunity, that is, having at least 70 percent of the population vaccinated, so says Federal Minister of Health – the Hon. Akilah Byron-Nisbett, on March 4^th.

The Vaccination program was rolled out on February 22^nd, 2021 in St. Kitts.

On Nevis, the program began on February 24^th, 2021.

Despite over 23% of the Population already inoculated, Mrs. Brandy-Williams said more is needed:
