Government of St. Kitts and Nevis forms Partnership with Republic of China (Taiwan) in preparation for COP27
As the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Environment et.al, along with the Ministry of Energy in St. Kitts and Nevis prepare itself for the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), the government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has offered its technical support to the federation’s contingent, participating at the Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt from November 6th to the 18th, 2022.
The group in question will comprise of: Minister of Technology – Hon. Konris Maynard, Minister of Environment – Hon. Joyelle Clarke, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment – Sharon Rattan, a representative of the Department of Environment, a Conservation Officer, an Environmental Education Officer and a Finance Officer. On Nevis, a Physical Planning Officer and a Youth Development Officer.
Hon. Maynard and Hon. Clarke met with His Excellency Ambassador Michael Lin, Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) on Wednesday October, 26th, 2022 where the ambassador wished the ministers along with their remaining group, success in their participation at the Conference.
Hon. Maynard returned his wishes of gratitude and elation referencing the continued relationship between the two nations.
