Permanent Representative to UN signs book of Condolences following 7.8 quake in Turkey

St. Kitts and Nevis’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Her Excellency Nerys Dockery, signed the Book of Condolences on behalf of the Federation at the Permanent Mission of Turkey on the tragic loss of life, following the February 6th major 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

 

 

 

More than 41,000 people have died in Turkey and neighbouring Syria from the earthquake, while many are homeless.

 

 

 

Turkey’s President announced a three-month state of emergency in 10 provinces worst-affected by an earthquake. The state of emergency will end just before elections on May 14th.

 

 

 

Nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis enjoy visa free access to Turkey for a period of 90 days, according to foreign.gov.kn/travel.
