A 4.0 magnitude quake occurred near St. Kitts & Nevis on Sunday morning May 7th.
The Seismic Research Centre from the University of the West Indies (UWI), says it took place at 5:49 am (local time).
It was located at Latitude: 18.38 degrees N, Longitude: 61.95 degrees W, at a depth of 10 km.
Information from UWI indicates that the quake occurred 148 km, NE of Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis, 141 km, N of Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and 241 km, NNW of Point-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe. It is the 2nd recorded quake to have taken place near SKN, in three (3) days. One occurred on May 4th, with a magnitude of 3.6.
