The Federal Minister of Labour provided an update on discussions surrounding the status of the minimum wage in St. Kitts & Nevis.
Hon. Marsha Henderson, while in the National Assembly on March 7th, told the nation that it will be increased “again under a Labour Government.” SKN’s minimum wage, which stands at $9 per hour or $360 per week for 40 hours of work, was implemented in 2014. That Committee submitted a report to the Government in 2019. What is the current status? Can citizens and residents expect an increase in the minimum wage?
