The High Commission of Canada in Barbados has announced the addition of St. Kitts and Nevis to the electronic travel authorization (eTA) program.
An eTA is an entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air. An eTA is electronically linked to a traveller’s passport and is valid for up to five years or until the passport expires.
Citizens from the federation who have held either a Canadian visa in the last ten years or who currently have a valid United States non-immigrant visa can now apply for an eTA, instead of a visa when travelling to Canada by air.
Persons travelling to the country by other means of transport including boats, bus, etc. will still be required to obtain a visa.
