RSCNPF investigating 16th homicide in SKN; persons charged for Larceny

The police are currently investigating the shooting death of thirty-one (31) year old Vaughan Parris who is now known as St. Kitts and Nevis’ 16th murder victim. The incident occurred on June 6th, 2023 between 3pm and 4pm in the area of Dorset Park. When officers arrived on the scene, Mr. Parris was laying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds about the body. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

 

 

In more police news – Keran Wynter has been sentenced to serve twelve (12) months in His Majesty’s Prison on two (2) counts of Larceny. The crimes were committed on January 27th and 31st, 2023 respectively. The sentences were handed down to the Basseterre Magistrate’s Court by His Honour Mr. Reynold Benjamin on June 6th, 2023. Ms. Wynter’s sentences are set to run concurrently.

 

 

 

Kevin Williams of Fort Thomas Road was also formally charged with Larceny on June 6th, 2023. The offence was committed on June 3rd, 2023 at the Westline Bus Terminal.

 

 

 

Additionally – Ishan James of Upper Cayon was sentenced to serve five (5) months in His Majesty’s Prison for the offence of Wounding. The incident took place May 21st, 2021. His sentence was handed down by His Honor Mr. Reynold Benjamin on June 6th, 2023.

 

 

 

And – Lawmen have recovered another illegal handgun. The weapon was found on June 5th, 2023 between the hours of 2pm and 3pm during a routine mobile patrol and search along a road in Spooners, Cayon. The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and found a bag concealed by house hold debris that contained one (1) .38 Special Revolver with a number of rounds in its barrel. The weapon was subsequently taken into Police custody for further processing.
