There will be a Sitting of the National Assembly of St. Christopher and Nevis (today) Monday, June 12th, 2023 where one (1) Bill is expected to be real.

The bill entitled Freedom of Conscience (Cannabis) Bill 2023.

The bill is to facilitate the personal cultivation by adults of cannabis for private use in a secured area within a private residence and the personal possession and use of cannabis in certain public places within designated smoking areas for enjoyment of a person’s freedom of conscience, including freedom of thought and of religion and for related matters.

Cannabis or Marijuana is referred to the dried leaves, flowers, stems, and seeds from the Cannabis sativa or Cannabis indica plant.

The plant contains the mind-altering chemical THC and other similar compounds. Extracts can also be made from the cannabis plant.
