Her Excellency Nerys Dockery, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Saint Kitts and Nevis to the United Nations, has been recalled to Basseterre for consultations with immediate effect.

Sources out of St. Kitts say it comes following rants Ms. Dockery made on social media, about inward fighting within the Labour Party.

A release from the Federal government says “the Government remains committed to promoting the interests of Saint Kitts and Nevis within the international community and to advancing its principled foreign policy.”

In that respect, an Interim Representative who is presently undergoing the accreditation process, has been identified by the Government.

The Federal government says “further details will be provided at a later date”.
