SKN’s First PM and only living National Hero congratulates ECCB on its 40th Anniversary
SKN’s First Prime Minister and Only Living National Hero, Sir Kennedy Simmonds has extended congratulations to the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) on its 40th Anniversary.
Sir Simmonds is the only living signatory to the 1983 ECCB agreement. He was Premier of SKN when he signed the agreement on July 5th 1983 (about two months before the Federation became an independent nation).
ECCB celebrated its 40th Anniversary on October 1st, the date the Bank became operational in 1983. The Bank has held activities to celebrate its 40th Anniversary throughout this year. They will come to a close in December.
