Saddlers Secondary School in St. Kitts closed early on Thursday November 2nd, following a report of a gun being found on a student at the institution.

SKN’s Education Media Unit (EMU) issued a notice, which stated “parents and guardians of students at the Saddlers Secondary School are informed that the Ministry of Education has made a decision to switch to remote learning for Thursday November 2nd, as we seek to resolve an issue at the school.”

At the time of the notice, the EMU said parents “will be informed whether students will return to school on Friday or continue remote learning.”

However, sources in St. Kitts have told the VONNEWSLINE that teachers held a strike and decided not to teach until the issue is resolved. More details to follow.
