Police have arrested and charged Keon Hewlett of College Housing, Basseterre, St. Kitts, on two (2) warrants for the offences of Importation and Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply.

A police communiqué says the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs & Excise Department also charged Mr. Hewlett for the offences of Submitting a False Declaration to a Customs Officer; Importation of a quantity of Cannabis Sativa; Importation of Restricted Goods to wit Cannabis Sativa; and knowingly attempting to Fraudulently Evade Customs.

The offences were committed at the RLB International Airport on Saturday December 2nd. Mr. Hewlett’s charges were laid at the Basseterre Police Station on Monday December 4th.

In other news- Lawmen have arrested and charged Jahvin Lake of Pleasant View, Shadwell, St. Kitts, for the offence of Possession of Ammunition. The offence was committed on Thursday November 30th, and Mr. Lake was charged at the Basseterre Police Station on Saturday December 2nd.
