The ELEVATE Programme was officially launched on Thursday December 21st.

In July 2023, the Elevate Programme officially replaced the Alternative Lifestyle Pathways Programme, commonly referred to as the Peace Programme. The Peace programme was introduced in March 2019, under the-then Team Unity Administration, with the aim of helping at-risk individuals and gang members, to make a transition from a life of crime to a productive lifestyle, through alternative ventures such as entrepreneurship etc.

Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, Ms. Naeemah Hazelle told the VONNEWSLINE in July that “ELEVATE” features three options namely: “elevation through training and certification, elevation through capacity building (or development of skills) and elevation through entrepreneurship.”

The programme’s new office is located on the Bay Road in St. Kitts. The launch event was attended by Cabinet ministers, led by Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew, officials from the Ministry of National Security, administrators of “ELEVATE” the programme and participants.
