Federal Gov’t extends best wishes to outgoing US Amb. to Barbados, Eastern C’bean & OECS

The Federal Government extended best wishes and farewell to outgoing US Ambassador to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean, and the OECS, His Excellency Roger Nyhus, during a cocktail reception at Government House, on Friday Jan. 17th.

 

Ambassador Nyhus was appointed as Ambassador by President Joe Biden in September 2022 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in November 2023.

 

The reception was attended by Her Excellency, Governor General, Dame Marcella Liburd, Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew and Mrs. Prince-Drew, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas, other senior government officials and staff from the US Embassy in Bridgetown.
