On Tuesday January 21^st, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas welcomed Ambassador for the Republic of Peru, His Excellency, Gustavo Felipe José Lembcke Hoyle.

The two discussed matters of diplomacy, specifically establishing political and economic dialogue between the two countries through technical agreements and strategic programming. Foreign Minister, Dr. Douglas also highlighted education, diplomatic training, and cultural heritage as areas for mutual collaboration.

The pair also discussed Peru’s intention of increasing cooperation with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), targeting the critical areas of natural disaster risk prevention and management, as well as, food security.
