The first Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly for 2025 will be held on Thursday Mar. 6th.
Notice has been given that the Sitting will take place at the Nevis Island Assembly Chambers located at Hamilton House, Charlestown, Nevis at 10:00 a.m. The details of the Order Paper will be made available to the public in short order.
The last Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly was held in December 2024, which featured the passing of the Nevis Appropriation (2025) Bill.
Meantime, Prime Minister – Dr. Terrance Drew will host his first press conference for 2025 alongside Cabinet Ministers on Thursday, March 6th, starting 10:00 AM at the NEMA Conference Room.
The theme of the press conference is: “Powering Progress: Building a Resilient Future for All.”
According to the Federal Government, the forum aims to foster meaningful engagement between the media and the Government. It will serve as an opportunity to provide key updates on national developments, highlight policy initiatives, and address matters of public interest.
Members of the press will be afforded the opportunity to ask questions on behalf of the listening public.
