The VON NEWSLINE has received a Press Release from the Ministry of Education-St. Kitts pertaining to an incident that occurred on the school’s compound late last week.

The ministry said “we are actively providing support in response to a student related incident at the Washington Archibald High School (WAHS) which occurred on May 8^th, 2025. We are committed to ensuring that schools serve as safe environments for all students and staff”.

The release stated further that the Ministry of Education’s guidance counselling network will continue to provide support at the school level for all students and staff.

The ministry is expressing its gratitude for the outpouring of well-wishes toward the student and is encouraging the public to be compassionate

and understanding about the family’s need for privacy as well as for the staff and students at the school.
