As the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Child Month continues, the Department of Education-Nevis held its parade through the streets of Charlestown on Friday, June 13th.
The event saw children, parents and supporters marching from the Old Artisan Village to the ETW Park. It was led by the grand marshal and Supervisor of the Vern ‘N’ Llew Preschool, Mrs. Vernitha Collins.
Festivities culminated at the park with a Fun Day. Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education et.al-Nevis, Ms. Zahnela Claxton, spoke about how the theme was tied into the day’s proceedings:
