The first in a series of town hall meetings was held on Monday, June 30^th 2025, at the Pond Hill Community Centre, in the St. John’s Constituency. In his opening remarks, Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley gave this significant update that occurred on Monday:

The evaluation for the bids he emphasized would be led by the technical team at the Nevis Electricity Company Ltd. (NEVLEC) who will be assisted by consultants from the Caribbean Development Bank.

Premier Brantley also shared this information on the airport project:

Hon. Mark Brantley. He stated that he expects a ground breaking shortly for the US$40M project, and that it will have a multiplier effect for the local economy on Nevis.
