Seven primary school students receive Naomi Daniel-Browne Scholarship
A total of seven students from Nevis’ public primary schools were awarded with the Nev-DC Association, Naomi Daniel-Browne Scholarship.
The awards were handed over during a ceremony on Wednesday, July 16th. The scholarship is awarded to the Grade 5 Students who have made the most significant academic improvement during the 2024-2025 academic year. The Top Performing Grade 6 Student at the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School is also awarded with the scholarship.
This year’s recipients were Kyemora Phillip of St. James, Sheronique Foster of the Violet O Jeffers Nicholls, Tyquon Connor of St. Thomas, Jahdeil Whyte of Charlestown, Savaun Johnson of Ivor Walters, Téadrian Tross from Elizabeth Pemberton, and Juliana Freeman from the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School.
The ceremony was chaired by Literacy Officer in the Department of Education, Mrs. Julie Pemberton and remarks were made by Principal Assistant Secretary, Mr. Jamir Claxton on behalf of the Ministry of Education et al. Specially invited guests included Ms. Jasmine Daniel and Ms. Uta Trish Taylor, sister and niece of Naomi Daniel-Browne, representatives of Nev-DC, education officers, and parents of the awardees.
