SKNDF Supports Regional Security Effort for CARIFESTA XV

CARIFESTA XV has officially begun in Barbados, bringing together artists, performers, and cultural ambassadors from across the Caribbean to celebrate the region’s rich and diverse heritage.

Soldiers from the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) have arrived in Barbados to join a regional Joint Task Force, working alongside the Barbados Defence Force (BDF), The Barbados Police Service (TBPS), and other Caribbean security units for the festival.

The deployment underscores the SKNDF’s commitment to regional solidarity and operational cooperation, ensuring the safety and smooth execution of the Caribbean’s largest cultural festival, running from August 22 to 30.

“This deployment demonstrates not only our duty to service but our unity as Caribbean forces,” said Acting Commander Major Kayode Sutton. “Together, we stand stronger in safeguarding and celebrating our region’s culture.”

The SKNDF’s involvement reflects a continued dedication to peace, security, and the shared celebration of Caribbean identity.
