SDA Community Services Weekend of Service and Fellowship

The Seventh day Adventist Community Services Department of St. Kitts and Nevis wrapped up a weekend of special activities from August 29th to 31st, highlighting service, fellowship and community impact.

The weekend began Friday evening with a consecration service at the Gingerland SDA Church, featuring a stirring sermon by Pastor Sean Simmonds. On Sabbath morning, members from across the island gathered for joint worship, where Minister of Community Development, Hon. Jahnel Nisbett, praised the team’s dedication and presented service pins to long serving members.

Pastor Frederick Alfred, Community Services Director for the South Leeward Conference, delivered the main sermon, inspiring the congregation with a message of resilience. That afternoon, members participated in a march of witness through Lower Hanley’s Road, ending with encouragement and song at the Hanley’s Road Community Center.

On Sunday, volunteers repainted the St. George’s and St. John’s Senior Citizens Home, bringing smiles and gratitude from residents. The weekend closed with a fellowship at Fort Charles, cementing bonds of unity and service.
