Task Force Highlights Savings Through Smart Shopping

The National Cost of Living Task Force, in collaboration with the Consumer Affairs Department, has launched its latest “Island Savings Harvest” initiative, encouraging consumers to stretch their dollar by making informed choices at the supermarket.

The campaign highlights that small changes in your weekly shopping can add up to big savings. A new infographic demonstrates that by switching brands on common household items such as paper towels, detergents, milk and mouthwash, shoppers can save almost twenty dollars on a single trip.

The message is simple: informed decisions mean more money left for what matters most to you and your family. The Task Force is reminding the public to “grow your dollar like you grow your food, with wisdom and good choices.”

The latest push forms part of the government’s wider efforts to ease the cost of living and empower residents to take practical steps toward financial resilience.
