Police have issued a reminder to the public about masks and disguises.

The Royal St. Christopher & Nevis Police Force stated on social media that “it is an offence under the Small Charges Act to appear in public in disguise or wearing a mask or other face covering without lawful excuse.”

It comes on the heels of persons seen walking around in ski masks.

Lawmen said that “this practice creates unnecessary fear and may aid criminal activity. Anyone found doing so is liable to arrest and prosecution.”

Therefore, police issued an appeal to everyone “especially parents and guardians to discourage this behaviour.”
