In an update about the Vance W. Amory International Airport Expansion Project (VAIA), Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley, spoke about the payment to landowners:

The expansion is estimated at US$40 million and features: land-side improvements (terminal, fire hall, tower, road realignment), air-side upgrades (runway extension, lighting, jet fuel farm), land acquisition.
