Nevis’ Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with Blue Planet Alliance, will be hosting an event dubbed “Nevis’ Eco Day”.

This will be held (today) Tuesday November 4th from 9am to 1pm, at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park.

The “Eco Day” initiative is aimed to educate the public on sustainable agricultural practices, renewable energy transition, single-use plastic ban, marine conservation, biodiversity projects, art from recyclables, utilizing local products and recycling pilot expansion.

Blue Planet Alliance is a non-profit organization established in 2020, with its mission, according to blueplanetalliance.org, “to get islands and countries around the world to legislatively mandate a commitment to 100% renewable energy by 2045.”
