The Charlestown Methodist Church held its 181^st anniversary and rededication service of its Chapel on Sunday Nov. 23^rd, at the church, located on Chapel Street.

Superintendent of the Nevis Circuit of Methodist Churches, Reverend Mark Christmas, gave the VONNEWSLINE this comment.

Mr. Christmas told the VONNEWSLINE that while Methodism came to Nevis in 1787, there was an older, wooden building and over the years, the present Chapel (stone structure) was built.
