Bank of Nevis celebrates its Ruby Anniversary with special ceremony

On December 9th, 2025, the Bank of Nevis (BON) celebrated its Ruby Anniversary, 40 years of operations with a special ceremony at the headquarters on Main Street, Charlestown, under the theme “40 Years and Rising—Banking Beyond Boundaries.”

 

The event honored the men and women who, contributed to its current success today since work begun in 1985 with founder Dr. Sir Simeon Daniel. CEO Mr. Denrick Liburd, in his remarks reflected on the bank’s continued growth and investment in modern, customer-focused services as well as outlined plans for future expansion, greater digital accessibility, and deeper community impact.

 

Referring to BON as “The People’s Bank” he quoted a few words from a customer as he gave this message of gratitude:

 

 

Many dignitaries and officials were present from across the federation including  the Deputy Governor General, her Honour, Mrs. Hyleeta Liburd, Premier, the Hon. Mark Brantley, Sir Timothy Antoine, Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. Also present was Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, who gave this encouragement:
