A national conversation on healthcare reform is expected to begin in 2026, as the government moves toward introducing National Health Insurance.

Speaking in Parliament while outlining plans and priorities for 2026, Prime Minister and Federal Minister of Health, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, he emphasized that healthcare should be treated as a right, not a privilege, noting that while children are no longer forced to rely on sponsorship sheets or GoFundMe pages due to the establishment of the Children’s Medical fund the adults face a different reality.
