CFBC Students Present Gold-Winning STEM Project to Cabinet

On January 26th, the Cabinet of St. Kitts and Nevis was honoured through a special presentation from students of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College who recently won the gold medal at the Caribbean STEM Olympiad.

The winning team – Fraimer De La Cruz, Josiah Davis, Nikhal Dore, and Nathan Lewis – demonstrated an innovative software platform that reimages the government’s ASPIRE Programme as an interactive tool for financial literacy and investment education among young people.

Accompanied by their Faculty Advisor, Mathematics and Computer Science Lecturer, Enoete Inanga said the students showcased a proof-of-concept designed to improve the current ASPIRE interface. Their solution included an AI chatbot called “Sparky”, a CARICOM-focused stock marketplace, interactive learning modules, gamified features, and data dashboards.

The team earned gold after outperforming competitors from Jamaica, Belize, and Guyana.

After the Presentation, Cabinet members praised the students for their innovation and for representing the Federation with distinction. Judges at the Olympiad said the project has tremendous potential to strengthen government initiatives through technology.
