Lawmen have charged Nubian Greaux of Shadwell Housing, St. Kitts, with the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Cultivation of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.

In an update on the matter, a police communique states: “the charges stem from a search warrant executed at Mr. Greaux’s residence by the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and the Joint Security Operations Tactical Team (JSOTT) on Thursday Mar. 26th between 5 AM and 6 AM.”

The search resulted in the recovery of two hundred and seventy-one (271) growing plants at various stages of maturity, and a number of packages containing vegetable material. The plants and the packaged materials were shortly thereafter confirmed to be cannabis.

The scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit of the RSCNPF, and the cannabis and other items of evidential value were taken into custody. He was also taken into custody, where he was later charged at the Basseterre Police Station. Mr. Greaux is a political candidate for the People’s Action Movement (PAM).
