On April 8th, 2026 the Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis to Taiwan had the pleasure of hosting a brief but meaningful meeting with three visiting healthcare professionals from Saint Kitts and Nevis that are currently in Taiwan. Their visit forms part of the Program to Assist Taiwan’s Diplomatic Allies in Medical Capacity Building, organized by TaiwanICDF.

The delegation included Assistant Matron of the Alexandra Hospital on Nevis, Nurse Dhaima Golding, Medical Doctor at Pogson Medical Centre, Dr. Dounice Hughes, as well as a Radiologist of the Joseph Nathaniel France General Hospital in St. Kitts, Ms. Tianne Godfrey. During their stop at the Embassy, they engaged in a cordial interaction with His Excellency, Ambassador Donya L. Francis and Diplomat/Second Secretary Rolhensha Henry.

As part of the program, Nurse Golding will spend one month in Taiwan, while Dr. Hughes and Miss Godfrey will each undergo three months of specialized training at separate hospitals.

The Embassy extended its best wishes to the participants as they continue to strengthen their expertise, contributing to both their personal development and the ongoing advancement of healthcare in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
