The St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA), says it is fully prepared to facilitate the docking of the MSC World Europa, one of the world’s largest cruise ships.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, April 15th, SCASPA said the vessel’s arrival marks a significant moment for Port Zante and the local cruise sector.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Adeola Moore says the port’s infrastructure, marine coordination, and management systems are fully aligned to safely and efficiently accommodate a ship of this scale.
The MSC World Europa, operated by MSC Cruises, has a capacity of more than 6,700 passengers and over 2,100 crew members, making it one of the world’s largest passenger vessels currently in service.
The LNG-powered ship, which entered public operations in late 2022, is part of MSC’s World-class fleet, known for combining large passenger capacity with more sustainable cruising technology.
SCASPA says the upcoming call further reinforces Port Zante’s ability to handle some of the most advanced cruise vessels in the world, while ensuring a smooth experience for passengers, crew, and tourism stakeholders.
The visit is expected to provide another boost to the Federation’s busy cruise tourism season.
