The Caribbean’s drive toward sustainable tourism has been highlighted with the announcement of the 2026 E-Finity Caribbean Green Awards, which recognize leading destinations, projects and individuals advancing environmental innovation across the region.
Following a regionwide voting campaign that attracted thousands of participants, the awards, created through a partnership between E-Finity Distributed Generation and Caribbean Journal, underscored a growing emphasis on clean energy, conservation and responsible development in Caribbean tourism.
St. Kitts was named Green Destination of the Year, recognized for its expanding commitment to conservation, renewable energy initiatives and environmentally conscious planning alongside its protected natural areas. In the agricultural category, Fari Organic Farm received the Green Agriculture Award for its sustainable farming practices and support of local food production.
Founded in 1990, E-Finity Distributed Generation develops advanced micro-grid and distributed power systems supporting resilient energy infrastructure across the Americas. Further, the Caribbean Journal “is the leading digital destination for Caribbean travel and tourism news and information, serving a primarily U.S. audience”.
