SKN’s Defence Force Coast Guard rescued a local fishing vessel and its crew on Monday, Apr. 20^th, after it encountered difficulties at sea.

Reports say the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Coast Guard received a distress alert at 1:37 p.m.

The vessel, FV Lady Medisha, was reported to be in distress about five nautical miles southeast of Nevis.

Lawmen say all three individuals on board were safe and no injuries were reported.

The boat was towed safely to Charlestown, where it was scheduled for inspection and necessary repairs.
