In a media release, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority has introduced the young voices that are preparing to take the spotlight at the 2026 Tourism Youth Congress in St. Kitts, where students from across the island will present ideas aimed at shaping the future of the tourism industry. The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 14th at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.
Delegates participating in this year’s congress include Tajahnya Henry of Cayon High School, Trevor Nisbette of Dr. Denzil Llewelyn Douglas Secondary School, Rainier Martin of Washington Archibald High School, Arianna Blanchard of Basseterre High School, Zarique White of Verchilds High School, Denyjah Matthew of Charles E. Mills Secondary School and Maahi Joshua of Immaculate Conception Catholic School.
During the congress students are expected to examine several issues impacting the future of tourism, including sustainability, cultural preservation, digital marketing, local cuisine, entrepreneurship and community involvement. The goal is to highlight the importance of protecting the island’s heritage while embracing innovation and technology to strengthen St. Kitts’ appeal to international visitors.
The eventual winner of the competition will be named Junior Youth Tourism Minister and will represent St. Kitts at the Caribbean Tourism Organization Regional Tourism Youth Congress in Guyana. The selected delegate will also serve for one year as the youth ambassador for tourism.
