Nevis’ DOE launches STEM Week 2026

Nevis’ Department of Education officially launched STEM Week 2026 with a Public Symposium on Monday May 18th.

 

This was held under the theme: “Empowering Nevis: Digital Literacy and TVET for a Future Ready Generation”. STEM is the acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

 

Educators, students and professionals explored the importance of digital literacy and TVET (which means Technical and Vocational Education and Training) in shaping education and workforce preparedness on Nevis.

 

During the Symposium, Minister of Education and Information Technology-Nevis, Hon. Troy Liburd, made these remarks:
