Citizens Invited to Apply for 2027 Japan Government Scholarship Opportunity

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saint Kitts and Nevis has announced the 2027 Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship Programme, offering citizens the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies at universities in Japan.

 

The scholarship covers full tuition, a monthly stipend, and round-trip airfare. Selected candidates may also benefit from up to six months of preparatory research and Japanese language training, depending on university requirements. Applicants must be born on or before April 2nd, 1992, and possess a Bachelor’s degree.

 

Required documents include completed application forms, academic transcripts, degree certificates, a medical certificate, a field of study and research plan, and a recommendation letter from a university dean, president, or academic advisor. Shortlisted applicants will be required to sit an examination and attend an interview at the Embassy of Japan in Barbados.
