The Department of Youth on Nevis has officially announced the opening of nominations for the 2026 Youth Impact Awards, an initiative designed to recognize young people who are making meaningful contributions to their communities and the island’s development.

Nominations opened on June 6^th, 2026, and will close on July 10^th, 2026. Eligible nominees must be between 18 and 35 years old and reside on Nevis.

Awards will be presented in several categories, including Entrepreneurship, Technology, Sports Excellence, Youth Development, Agriculture, the Arts, Cultural and Historical Preservation, Health and Well-being, National Pride, Education and Lifelong Learning, Safety, Security and Protection, and Volunteerism.

The department is encouraging members of the public to nominate deserving young people whose leadership, service, innovation, and achievements have had a positive impact on society.

Officials say the programme aims to celebrate youth excellence while inspiring the next generation of leaders.
