Motorists across St. Kitts and Nevis are set to benefit from lower fuel costs following a reduction in the maximum retail price of unleaded gasoline, approved by the Ministry of Finance.

According to the St. Kitts Consumer Affairs Department, the maximum retail price for unleaded gasoline at SOL Service Stations in St. Kitts and Nevis is $17.40 per gallon.

This is down from $18.14 per gallon, which came into effect on June 4th, representing a reduction of 0.74 cents per gallon.

Meanwhile, at Delta Service Stations in St. Kitts, the maximum retail price has been reduced to $16.43 per gallon, compared to the previous price of $18.83 per gallon.

This reflects a larger decrease of $2.40 per gallon.

The Consumer Affairs Department noted that the prices continue to reflect the Government’s 50 percent reduction on the Excise Tax and Customs Service Charge.

Consumers are encouraged to take note of the new approved prices, which took effect on Friday, June 12th.
